Like Moses who sees a bush burning with flames that wouldn’t go out. Like Jeremiah who feels the burning in his chest, of a word that he must speak. Like the disciples with Jesus on the road to Emmaus, who reflected, “Were not our hearts burning within us as he opened up the Scriptures to us?”

The Burning Word is practical and pastoral.
